Home/News/Georgia Department of Education Recognizes Centennial’s Integrated Learning Approach

We’re very excited to announce that the Georgia Department of Education spotlighted the concentrated effort of Centennial Academy’s faculty and students to fully integrated Computer Science and STEM learning into their curricula across multiple grades.

Centennial, a neighborhood charter school, has been undergoing a significant transformation in the way teachers educate and how scholars learn since the inception of the iCS (Integrated Computer Science) program two years ago. The goal has been to incorporate project-based learning into all aspects of the school day, correlated to the rigorous standards of ISTE, the International Society for Technology in Education.

Want to learn more about what we’re learning at Centennial Academy? Visit the school Thursday, March 23, from 5-8 p.m., for our quarterly iCurate event, where students showcase their work for teachers, parents and visitors!

Enjoy the article–we are so very proud of our teachers, staff and scholars!
